BESPOKE

At the heart of the Bespoke service is the relationship.
A new last and design is created from scratch in order to craft something unique for the individual.

Bespoke Shoemaking is a blend of science and art, and the last plays a critical role in this process. The precision involved ensures that every detail - from the fit to the design - is tailored to the client’s specifications, while the artistry adds a personal touch that reflects both the shoemaker’s skill and the wearer’s personality. It is an experience that goes beyond simply buying shoes to creating something that fits seamlessly into one’s life, offering both beauty and practicality.

Feet measurement

The first step involves an in person meeting for precise measurement of your feet and a consultation to understand your style and fit preferences.

Creation of a new last

After review of the lasts and toe shapes from the workshop's library, I recommend lasts that best match the shape of your feet. A personal last is created from scratch using the asymmetric method to achieve the highest level of customization in fit.

Creation of a new design

The asymmetric method is also applied to the creation of a new design and pattern, tailored to your needs and preferences. You may choose a design from the existing collection, or we can collaborate to create a novel design.

Materials

The finest materials for the upper and the sole are selected out of recommended options available at the time.

Trial fitting

For the first pair, a trial shoe is created, allowing the client to get a sense of how the shoe will look and fit. The client should be encouraged to walk in the shoes and provide detailed feedback on comfort and design. Based on this feedback, adjustments can be made in the last and pattern as needed.

Final fitting and delivery

The final fitting and delivery is a crucial stage in the journey, as it marks the culmination of all the careful work that has gone into the crafting process. Along with the shoes, care instructions are also provided to ensure that they last as long as possible. This might include advice on cleaning, conditioning, and storing the shoes.
